The Underground is the youth ministry of First Baptist Church Rockville. You might be wondering why we are called the Underground…. Well…for a variety of reasons. First of all, we meet in a room that is basically underground (not a basement though). Second, and more importantly, the Underground is a place where you can come and meet with Jesus. Just like the disciples met underground to encourage each other and learn more about Christ, we too meet to encourage each other, pray for one another and learn what it means to be a Christian in today’s world. We are no longer interested in the average, sit around the table, church conversation about Jesus and Bible talk. We want to see lives changed by the power of God.

Engaging and encouraging youth to encounter Christ in real, relevant, and radical ways.

What we are not….

• A Christian “babysitting” service for teens
• A place to come and just have “good, clean fun”

What we are…

• A ministry that is seeking the face of God and to know Him better
• A ministry that is on fire for Christ and wants to share that with others
